He was predeceased by: his parents, William Jackson and Maggie Ester Stevenson Sandefer; his wife Joyce Elaine Lawson; and his sisters, Liverta Randel, Zula Holsten and Jean Karnes.
He is survived by: his daughters, Deborah Cavaness of Southaven and Linda Gregory (Don) of Hernando, Mississippi. He is also survived by five grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
