He is survived by: his wife Mary Nell Dabney; his daughter Marie Armistead of Tuscaloosa, AL; his siblings, Rainey Faye Boyle (Byron) of Indiana and Joseph Dabney (Barbara) of Tennessee; and his grandchildren, Donald Joe Bradford, Amanda Bradford Reed, Reece Key, Brooke Armistead, Eric Jones Armistead, Sandra Holliman, Matthew Meador, Rebecca Bowling, Meagan Pearson, Emily Crouch, Wendy Hale, Maggie Pugh and Ben Meador. He is also survived by great-grandchildren.
