He was predeceased by: his parents, Cleveland Nelson and Dorothy Alverson (Lewis). He is survived by: his wife Barbara Alverson (Williams); and his children, Tonia Alverson Griffin of Drummonds, TN, Babette Riedmueller (Tom), Kateri Bryant (Carey), Stephanie Williams (Derek), Brock Alan Alverson (Crystal) of Oakland, TN and Thomas E. Watts (Connie).

It is requested any memorials be made to the Alzheimers Association.
