He is survived by: his wife Vicky Gilbert; his daughters, Melanie Hope Herring and Melinda Taggart (Steve); and his brothers, Ray Gilbert (Carylon) and William "Bill" Gilbert (Clara). He is also survived by 8 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
