He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, William Hayes and Beatrice Ulmer; his wife Mattie Waters; his children, Clarence Hayes William H Hayes III and Nina Hayes McGhee; and his siblings, W. C. Hayes, Roy Hayes and Heneretta Cook. He was also cherished by six grandchildren and other family and friends.
