He was predeceased by: his parents, Ola Hill Myrick and John Willis Myrick; and his siblings, Ora V. Myrick, Irma Myrick Johnson and Glaston W. Myrick.

He is survived by: his wife Gloria McDuffie Myrick; his daughters, Cynthia Myrick and Linda Myrick Muse (Kenny); his granddaughters, Amy Carter, Laura Holloway (James) and Chelsie Lozada (Daniel); and his great grandchildren, Samantha Carter, Owen Carter, Wilder Holloway and Beckett Holloway. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
