He was predeceased by: his wife Mary Elizabeth Hartley Maxcey; his parents, Eddie Maxcey and Cordelia Bush Maxcey; his brothers, Paul Maxcey and Hilton Maxcey; and his brother-in-law Curtis Ainsworth.
He is survived by: his children, Ron Maxcey (Rosie), Frankie Maxcey, John Kim Maxcey, Nina Ward Cruthirds (Danny), Hope Maxcey Johnson (Shane), Kristia Maxcey Rhodes (Larry), Shelia Maxcey Roberts and Brenda Maxcey Weaver (Matthew); his siblings, William Maxcey, Jimmy Maxcey, Gail Maxcey (Charloette), Shirley Ainsworth, Dianne Maxcey and Ruby Spicer; his grandchildren, Jeremy Maxcey (Amie), Nathan Maxcey, Devon Maxcey, Dalton Cruthirds (Tori), Konner Rhodes, Martin Roberts, Corey Maxcey, Cody Maxcey, Ashley Maxcey, Rebecca Maxcey, Danielle Cruthirds, Gabrielle Maxcey, Heidi Patrick (Chandler), Kimberly Upton (Craig), Jill Smith (Brad), Ginger Owens (Shawn) and Rochelle Maxcey; and his close friend Charlotte Green. He is also survived by 17 great grandchildren, 3 great great grandchildren.
