It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ethel Merel McDonald (Heidelberg, Mississippi), who passed away on January 24, 2023, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Willie Coley and Blanche Coley; her husband Ben McDonald; her daughter Lisa Roberts; and her siblings, Melba Sims, Doris Ulmer, Ann West, Mavis Goldman, Lavelle Coley, Jackie Coley and Joe Coley.

She is survived by: her children, Wade McDonald (Teresa), Frank McDonald (Mandy) and Roxanne Loper (Dewayne); and her grandchildren, Chris Roberts, Nicki Poole (Robbie), Chase McDonald (Tamra), Brandon McDonald, Brittany Loper, Zac McDonald and Maria Barnette (Brandon). She is also survived by nine great grandchildren; and a host of beloved nieces, nephews, and cousins.
