We are sad to announce that on October 30, 2018, at the age of 97, Alice Helen Stephens (Heidelberg, Mississippi) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Franklin Elwood Stephens; her parents, Mary "Mellie" Welborn Bates and Homer Ulmer; her stepfather William "Willie" Bates; and her siblings, Maxine Ulmer Rivers, Justine Ulmer Skipper, Eloise Bates Mathews, Bonnie Bates Roney, Sherman "Buck" Bates, Wilbur Bates and Charles Bates.
She is survived by: her children, Linda DeBruycker (David) of Lancaster, SC, Franklin "Steve" Stephens, Mary "Kathy" Bonner (Thomas) and William Stephens (Kris); her siblings, Grace Reynolds, Dorothy Holifield and Paul Bates; and her grandchildren, Cara Ankney (Doug) of Lititz, PA., Steven DeBruycker, Jenna Stephens, JoAnn Bridwell (Kevin), Kim Hand (David), Corey Stephens, Dalton McNeil and Lindsey McNeil. She is also survived by many nephews and nieces.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Heidelberg Baptist Church or Heidelberg Presbyterian Church in Heidelberg, MS.
