Shelia Hood Puryear Obituary
We are sad to announce that on October 17, 2020, at the age of 63, Shelia Hood Puryear of Hazlehurst, Mississippi passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Shelia Hood Puryear to pay them a last tribute.
She is survived by: her parents, Elizabeth Hood and Carroll Hood; her husband Lamar Puryear III; her children, Erin Cogswell (Josh), Leah Puryear (John) and Lamar Puryear IV (Katie); her grandchildren, Kaylin Puryear, Owen Cogswell, John Rowan Dearing and Violet Dearing; her siblings, Linda Hood, Perry Hood (Linda), Jerry Hood (Kimberly) and Karen Hood Coates (Joe Buck); and her sisters-in-law, Carol Puryear Ford (Frank) and Linda Puryear Rainer (Mike). She is also survived by 19 nieces and nephews and a large extended family.
A memorial service will follow at 2:00 p. m. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, masks and social distancing will be required.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Hazlehurst United Methodist Church.
