He is survived by: his children, Cherie Hemphill, Toni Garcia (Juan), Becky Landry (Marllow), Ricky Hemphill (Felecia) and Michael Thibodeaux (Tina); and his siblings, Tony Hemphill (Patti) and Linda McGrew. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren and many great grandchildren.
