Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Mary Elizabeth Barlow (Hazlehurst, Mississippi), who passed away at the age of 92, on February 27, 2021. She was predeceased by: her parents, F. L. Bland Barlow and Hugh Quintus Barlow; her husband Jasper Daniel Barlow; her sons, Jasper Daniel Barlow, Jr. and James Jasper "Jimmy" Barlow; and her sisters, Emma Mae Holder, Nellie Cline and Helen Munn.

She is survived by: her daughters, Frances Barlow Summerall and Cynthia Louise Cotten (Tony); her son-in-law Dan M. Cotten (Danny); her sister Eva Barlow Norton (Ronnie); her grandchildren, Patrick Joseph "Joey" Sheppard, Jr. (Carrie), Melissa Frances Sheppard, Patrick Daryl Sheppard, James Richard "Jae" Cotten, Jr. (Brooke), Kayla Dufene (Scott) and Toni Bellais (Josh); her great grandchildren, Raiven Whittington (Blake), Chelsea Oswalt (Colby), Coy Sheppard (Tori), Alexis Roberts (Taylor), Tripp Sheppard, Riley Cohen, Zachary Coleman, Ryleigh Sheppard, Tate Sheppard, Taylor Sheppard, Serenity Nevels, Genesis Dufene, Arabella Dufene, Kendalynn Bellais, Marina Bellais, Braxton Bellais and Haven Bellais; and her great great grandchildren, Aiden Whittington, Addisyn Coleman, Grayland Oswalt, Avery Whittington, Rowan Oswalt, Leegan Sheppard, Ainslee Roberts, Madalynn, Mackenzie Roberts and Paxton Sheppard.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the cemetery fund of Antioch Baptist Church.

“I am Brenda (Grotts) Otterson in St. Louis, MO. I've fond childhood memories of sitting under a large oak table in Muskogee, OK while listening to happy women's voices visiting/cooking--Barlow, Whillock, and my mother, Wilba (Whillock) Grotts. Then, after sitting on his lap awhile, usually "Uncle Jasper" would take me for a short walk and yard tour. (I couldn't go alone due to "snakes in the woodpile".) There was a cabin and row boat on a river somewhere as well...summer, about 71 years ago.”
