He was predeceased by: his wife Alice Wells Moreland; his parents, Earl Hammond and Patti Kathryn Moreland; his brothers, Joe Moeland (Adrienne) and Clyde Moreland (Jean); and his brothers-in-law, William Wells (Bill) and John Vaughn.
He is survived by: his nephew Joe Moreland Jr.; his children, Lloyd Moreland Jr. of Hazlehurst, Alice E. Moreland (Sissy) of Madison, Kathryn Hollingsworth (Marc) of Melbourne and Donna Patterson (Douglas) of Mount Pleasant; his grandsons, Nathan Hollingsworth of Conroe, Dalton Hollingsworth of Melbourne, Jack Patterson and Nicholas Patterson of Clemson; his siblings-in-law, Ralph Wells, Diane Thomspon, Katherine Wells and Rhonda Wells; and his nieces, Jan Moreland and Barbara Nunnery.
