With heavy hearts, we announce the death of John Gibson Singletary in Hazlehurst, Mississippi, who passed away on May 27, 2021 at the age of 97. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, George Amos Singletary and Stella Clegg Singletary. He is survived by: his wife Billie Sue Singletary; his children, Debbie Johns (Johnny), Kathy Posey (Lynn), Laura Singletary and Paul Singletary (Claudia); his grandchildren, Jennifer Johns, Jay Johns (Laura), Hunter Posey (Kristen) and Kaitlyn Posey Bozeman (Stephen); his great grandchildren, Jack Bozeman, Lawson Bozeman, Levi Johns, Wyatt Johns, Neely Posey, Charlie Posey, Bailey Posey, Nova Connolly, Bowen Morris, Caleb Cole, Kaplan Sumner, Quinn Sumner and Conan Sumner; and his sister Carolyn Singletary Bishop of Vicksburg, MS. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to local animal shelters or the Wounded Warrior Project.
