He was predeceased by: his parents, Sim Ramsey, Jr. and Maude Etta Ferguson Ramsey; and his brothers, Hurbert Ramsey, Richard Ramsey and Sim Ramsey, Jr..
He is survived by: his wife Mary Ramsey; his children, Tim Ramsey (Robin), Lawrence Smith and Geraldine Merrell; his siblings, Tommy Ramsey and Eloise Beasley; and his grandchildren, Ryan Ramsey, Maggie Merrell, Chris Lewis and Kyle Smith. He is also survived by six great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Stringer Family Funeral Home - Hazlehurst Po (28023 MS-28, Hazlehurst, MS 39083). A funeral service was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Stringer Family Chapel (28023 MS-28, Hazlehurst, MS 39083).
