He was predeceased by: his parents, R. S. Hood and Carrie Dell Hood; his siblings, Sidney Hood, Robin Hood, Dale Hood and Peggy Hood Catchings; his daughter Shelia Hood Puryear; and his grandson Brandt Hood.
He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth Ann Warren Hood; his children, Linda Hood of Peoria, IL, Jerry Hood (Kimberly) of Wesson, Perry Hood (Linda) of Hazlehurst and Karen Coates (Joe) of Wesson; and his brother Larry Hood. He is also survived by 18 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren.
