It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Zettie Mae Tingle Bodie of Hattiesburg, Mississippi, who passed away on September 18, 2024, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her former husband Herbert "Hub" Tingle; her husband Edwin Bodie; her parents, Sidney Melton and Dona Elanor Byrd; and her siblings, Estelle Jordan, Edna Earl Byrd, Lillian Lee, Burley Byrd and Vernon "Pump" Byrd.
She is survived by: her children, Kathryn Joann Freeman (Robert) of Beaumont and Gregory Dewayne Tingle (Lisa) of Hattiesburg; her grandchildren, Paige Hillman (Brian) of Petal and Seth Freeman (Allie) of Prattville, AL; her great grandchildren, Austin Williams of Ocean Springs, Gage Hillman of Petal, Cace Hillman of Petal, Cameron Hillman of Hattiesburg, Heidi Freeman of Prattville, AL, Lilly Freeman of Prattville, AL and Landree Freeman of Prattville, AL; and her sister S. M. Penton of Beaumont. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
