He was predeceased by: his wife Irma Myers Wright; and his sister Minnie Jones. He is survived by: his daughter Barbara Wright Workman (Mark) of Metairie, LA; his siblings, Frances Dye of Crenshaw, MS and James Wright of Crenshaw, MS; and his grandchildren, Sarah Workman of Charleston, SC and Elliott Workman (Corissa) of Austin, TX. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great- nieces and great-nephews.
