He was predeceased by: his parents, Van Wilson, Sr. and Maggie Wilson; his wife Shirley Jo Ann Wilson; his sons, Earl Wayne "Butch" Smith, Jr. and Curtis Allen Wilson; his sons-in-law, Freddie Dickinson and Bobby Pritchard; his granddaughters, Haley Rayann Ivy and Vanessa Pritchard; and his siblings, Hazel Hosey, Almadee Wilson, Vitamae Polk, Gladys Doughty, Talmadge Wilson and Billy Wilson.
He is survived by: his children, Jeff Wilson, Sr. (Gay Lynn) of Purvis, Angela Joann Dickinson of Oak Grove and Shelia Gay Wilson (John) of Hattiesburg; his stepchildren, Mike Smith (Linda) of Hattiesburg and Gwendolyn Pritchard of San Angelo; his siblings, Frances Tanner, Bessie Hedgewood (Tom), Richard Wilson and Phil Wilson; and his sister-in-law Shelby Cavanaugh (Wayne). He is also survived by sixteen grandchildren; twenty-three great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild.
