He was predeceased by: his daughter Cynthia Paige Pittman Dye (Johnny); his parents, Thomas Leonard and Myrtle Violet Fortenberry Pittman; his grandparents, Joe Edward and Lily Elizabeth Fewell Pittman; his sister Mary Violet; and also, Bobbie Jo and Watts.
He is survived by: his wife Peggy Pittman; and his children, Thomas Leonard Pittman, III (Rachel), John Timothy Pittman (Beverly) and Sherry Lucille Pittman. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers donation may be made to the Hattiesburg Firefighters Benevolence Association.
