She was predeceased by: her parents, Sam Nelson and Ella Nelson; and her siblings, Jesse Nelson, Helen LeBlanc, Louise Cubley, Lena Gatlin and Lois Silva.
She is survived by: her daughters, Jane Ellen Stephens Kingsafer (John) of Hattiesburg, Susan Stephens Kirkwood (David) of Covington, LA and Lynda Stephens (Steve Zary) of Hattiesburg; her grandchildren, Sandy Engel (Jeff) of Ocean Springs, Sean Racca, Ryan Dixon Richardson of Natchez and Katie Dixon Lewis (Wesley) of Sumrall; and her great grandchildren, Payton Engel of Ocean Springs, Jacob Engel of Ocean Springs, Josie Richardson of Natchez, Jack Lewis of Sumrall and Dylan Lewis of Sumrall.
At the request of the family, in lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Bay Street Presbyterian Church in her honor.
