She was predeceased by: her parents, Ernest Phillips and Marjorie Phillips (Easterling); and her sister Beth Moak. She is survived by: her boyfriend John Breland of Hattiesburg, MS; her daughters, Jessica Emmett (Eddie) of Atlanta, GA and Marjie Rutland (Archie) of Purivis, MS; and her siblings, Ernest Phillips, Jr. (Elizabeth) of Fort Worth, TX., David Phillips (Tammy) of Wiggins, MS., Pamela Lipsett (Eddie) of Rhode Island, MA. and Martha Phillips of Rhode Island, MA.. She is also survived by six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
