He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert L. Turner, Sr. and Mary Brown. He is survived by: his wife Holly Turner of Picayune, MS; his sons, Michael Turner and Alex Turner; his stepsons, Tyler Carruth and Richard Carruth; his daughter Amanda Duerksen of Fort Hood, TX; and his siblings, Brenda Breazeale (Ronnie) of Petal, MS and Allen Turner (Ann) of Hattiesburg, MS.
