He was predeceased by: his parents, Jack Burks and Helen Burks; his son Greg Burks; and his grandson Gabe Burks. He is survived by: his wife Charlotte Burks of Hattiesburg, MS; his son Grant Burks (Liana) of Hattiesburg, MS; and his siblings, Jean Parker (Howard) and Ike Burks (Jane). He is also survived by five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
