He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Preston and Ruby Bell Young; and his siblings, Geraldine Bridges Turman, James Talmadge Young and Carl Gaston Young.
He is survived by: his wife Celeste Young; his children, William Scott Young (Amy) of Hattiesburg and Christie Young Hines (Derek) of Gulf Breeze, FL; his grandchildren, Hunter Scott Young (Bethany), Garrett Preston Young, Brandon Daniel Hines and Preston William Hines; and his great grandchild Joelle Scott Young.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the First Baptist Church of Bellevue or the the American Legion Post 90 in Columbia, MS.
