She was predeceased by: her parents, Ed Tyner and Mamie Tyner (Guthrie); and her siblings, Jewell Mates of St. Louis, MO and Leonard (Hattiesburg). She is survived by: her brother Jim Tyner (Peggy) of Fort Worth, TX; her brother-in-law Joe Mates of St. Louis, MO; and her friend Reverend Ken Hopkins. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, December 18th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Moore Funeral Services (805 Hardy St, Hattiesburg, MS 39401). A graveside service was held on Wednesday, December 18th 2024 at 3:00 PM at the Woodlawn Cemetery North Hwy.
Her contribution to the church included teaching Sunday School, editing the church's newsletter to its seniors, and loving and caring for numerous dear friends and fellow church members.
