She was predeceased by: her parents, Rev. Fredrick D. Smith and Mable Smith (White); her son Fredric Douglas; her husband Jack Sumrall; her son Daniel Sumrall, Sr.; her grandson Reginald Hathorne; and her siblings, Hampshire D. Smith, Ezra B. Smith, Mildred Tanner, Bernice Martin and Cadella Brown.
She is survived by: her children, Mary Jacqueline, Cynthia Dianne, Richard Montgomery of Sumrall, MS, Dianne Prince of Hattiesburg, MS, Narcissus 'Sissy' White (Bobby) of Sumrall, MS and Joe C. 'Coke Sumrall (Coke) of Hattiesburg, MS; her daughter-in-law Alicia Sumrall of Hattiesburg, MS; her nieces and nephews, Linda Martin of Escatawpa, MS, Gail Echols of Sumrall, MS, Delano Martin of Prentiss, MS and Clarence Hogue of Florida; and her close friends, Leona Rawls and Evelyn Rich of Sumrall. She is also survived by other nieces, nephews, cousins & friends.
