He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Cagle and Elizabeth Cagle; his wife Helen Cagle; his daughter Linda Sue Cagle; and his siblings, Edward Cagle, Freddie Cagle, Mary Ann Breland and Faye Cagle.

He is survived by: his daughter Debbie Jean Cagle of Hattiesburg; and his sisters, Beulah Carter of Lumberton, Ethel Mae Nobles of Purvis and Frances Hartfield of Hattiesburg. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews; and four step-children.
