He was predeceased by: his parents, Kermit Lee Rushing, Sr. and Quay Strickland Rushing. He is survived by: his wife Betty Rushing of Hattiesburg, MS; his sons, David Lee Rushing of Huntsville, AL and Kermit Lee Rushing, III (Georgiana); his stepchildren, Gwen Pierce (Dennis) of Hattiesburg, MS, Kurt Yow (Vicki) of Midland, TX and Ann Rushing of Florence, AL; and his sister Martha Barrett of Mendenhall, MS. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and numerous cousins.
