She was predeceased by: her grandparents, J. C., Audie Barber, Walton and Murel Wheat; and her brother James Barber.

She is survived by: her husband Rev. Christopher Hoelzel (Kirk); her children, Brennan Kirk Hoelzel (Jessica Hoelzel) and Breanna Hoelzel Johnson (Kade Johnson); her granddaughter Lillian Khaleesi Hoelzel; her parents, Dossie Barber and Linda Barber; and her siblings, Glenn, Angie Barber, Darwyn, Kerry Jarrell, Jason Barber and Crystal (Adam Salas). She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
