We are sad to announce that on February 13, 2021, Josie S. Guess (Hattiesburg, Mississippi), born in Poplarville, Mississippi passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter R. Smith and Bertha M. Smith; her significant other Jesse M. Guess; and her siblings, Bobbie Brooks of Kentwood, LA, Martha Jo Miller of Poplarville, MS, Walter Billy Smith of Poplarville, Cowart Smith of Poplarville and Tommy Smith of Poplarville.
She is survived by: her daughters, Belinda G. Jackson and Jessie G. Williamson; her grandson Jess Jackson (Courtney); her great grandchildren, Thomas J. of Hattiesburg, Hunter Williamson of Hattiesburg, Samuel Williamson of Hattiesburg and Charie Hathorn (Chris); and also, Amelia Claire and Daniel of Petal. She is also survived by her husband, her children and grandchildren.
Josie's family is eternally grateful for the love and affection shown their mother by the Provision staff, especially throughout the quarantine period brought about by Covid-19.
