He was predeceased by: his wife Glenda Milner Vanderslice; and his parents, Etoyle McElhenney and John Milburn Vanderslice, Sr. of Bay Springs, MS.. He is survived by: his brother George Thomas Vanderslice of Pachuta, MS; his sister-in-law Karen; his niece Katie Jo Smart (Evan); his nephew Tom Vanderslice; his great-nephew Gage Smart; and his siblings-in-law, Bud and Joy Reid.
