He was predeceased by: his parents, C. "Tuffy" Johnson and Susan Johnson; his sister Suzanne; his brother-in-law Ed Hudgins; and his nephew Andy Gammel.
He is survived by: his wife Debbie Vesely Johnson of Hattiesburg; his son Joseph Johnson of Hattiesburg; his siblings, Judith Pagliughi of Gautier and Jeffrey Johnson (Diane) of Troutdale, OR; and his sisters-in-law, Teresa Vesely Gammel (Eddy) of Sumrall and Donna Vesely Campbell (Randy) of Wiggins.
Visitation was held on Saturday, December 21st 2024 from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the CrossPoint Community Church (3211 MS-589, Hattiesburg, MS 39402). A funeral service was held on Saturday, December 21st 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, December 21st 2024 at the First Baptist Church Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the CrossPoint Community Church Building Fund or the USM Athletic Foundation.
