He was predeceased by: his parents, W. E. Watts and Eva Watts; his wife Mary; and his siblings, Delores Watts Milling, W. Hayward Watts, Lena Mae Watts Matison and Nell Watts Wimberley.
He is survived by: his children, James E. Watts, Jr. and Mary Lynn Watts McManus (Gary L.) of Hattiesburg. He is also survived by his grandchildren.
