We are sad to announce that on September 19, 2018, James Ray Carpenter (Hattiesburg, Mississippi), born in Runnelstown, Mississippi passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his wife Mary; and his grandson James Ray Carpenter, III (Jace). He is survived by: his children, Richard (Carol), Deborah (Heath Collins), Jimmy, Melinda (Ron Satcher) and Gary (Lynn). He is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Jace Carpenter Scholarship fund at Oak Grove United Methodist Church, 4915 US Hwy 11, Hattiesburg, MS 39402.
