He was predeceased by: his wife Jackie Kirkpatrick; his parents, Charles Kirkpatrick and Susie Kirkpatrick; and his siblings, Helen Autry, Betty Brook, Mary Kirkpatrick and Robert Kirkpatrick.
He is survived by: his children, Susan K. Steadman (Garland) and Jim Kirkpatrick (Ellen); his granddaughters, Amelia McGowan (Brian), Kate Heflin (Grant), Mary Klug (Teddy) and Savannah Steadman; and his great grandchildren, Annie Heflin and Hallie Heflin.
