He was predeceased by: his parents, Otha Cooley and Bertha Cooley; his siblings, Ruthie Furman (Red), Sarah Bryant (Franklin), Janet Cooley, Connie Waltman, William'Bill'Cooley and James'Jimmy'Cooley; his brother-in-law Benny Jo Breland; his son-in-law Brent Cooper; and his stepdaughters, Pam Manghelli and Paula Morris.
He is survived by: his wife Mary A. Cooley; his children, Deanna Talbot (Maurice), Jack'Jay' Cooley II (Lisa) and Amanda Cooper; his stepchildren, Patricia Powell, Porsha Rowe (Dennis), John Powell (Michelle) and David Powell; his grandchildren, Aimee Colwell, Mary Talbot, Traci Cooley, Rebecca Talbot, Maurice Talbot II, Nikki Cooley, Bryce Cooper, Emily Cooley and Regan Cooley; his great grandchildren, Dylan Colwell, Thomas Morea, Caleb Colwell, Shaun Brown, Brandon Brown, Aaliyah Francis, Ella Cooley of Jamar, MJ and Abigail Eisworth; his great great grandchild Tommiejae Massengale; his sister Cecelia Ann Breland; and his siblings-in-law, Joyce Cooley, Norma Cooley and Rex Waltman. He is also survived by 11 step grandchildren and 13 step great grandchildren.
