With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Irene Hornsby of Hattiesburg, Mississippi, who passed away on September 16, 2023 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Jamie Lewis Hornsby; her sons, Jimmy Hornsby and Ricky Hornsby; her parents, Walter Barnes and Lillie Barnes; and her siblings, Martha Buchanan, Bertha Green, Inez Green, Willie Barnes, Walter Barnes and Thelma Williams.
She is survived by: her children, Jackie Hornsby, Peggy Hornsby, Kenneth Hornsby (Elizabeth) and Sandra Palmer (John); and her sisters, Gertrude Patterson and Rose Johnson. She is also survived by 19 grandchildren, 46 great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren.
