With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Helen Walters (Hattiesburg, Mississippi), who passed away on May 22, 2019 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Rev. Cecil Walters; her parents, Cleo Byrd and Ruby Byrd; her siblings, Jerri Myers and Rev. Kenna Byrd; her granddaughters, Chasity Downing and Tamera Ables; and her son-in-law Victor Verzal.
She is survived by: her children, Kathy Ford (Leonard), Gary Walters (Helen), Polly Sumrall (Jerry), Jerri Verzal (Victor) and Melissa Clemts (Ronnie); and her sister Janet Patrick. She is also survived by sixteen grandchildren; thirty seven great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren.
