We are sad to announce that on April 24, 2020 we had to say goodbye to Helen Thompson McWhorter (Hattiesburg, Mississippi), born in Dallas, Texas. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Irving and Mabel Avery Thompson; her brother Joe Avery Thompson; her daughter-in-law Barbara; and her grandson Christopher Wilson.
She is survived by: her children, Joe Maurice, Laurence S., Ann (Rod Wilson) of Hoschton, GA and Larry McWhorter (Nancy) of Isle. She is also survived by nine grandchildren; and twenty-three great-grandchildren.
Because of the COVID- 19 pandemic she will be cremated and a memorial service will be planned in the future.
She loved the Christopher Wilson Scholarship Fund at William Carey University and memorials may be directed to it in lieu of flowers.
