She was predeceased by: her parents, Otis Byrd and Jimmie Lou Byrd; and her brother Marshall Byrd. She is survived by: her siblings, Marion Riley of Hattiesburg, MS, Patricia Carter of Hattiesburg, MS, Amanda Walker of Petal, Richard Byrd of Poplarville, MS and Robert Byrd of Pascagoula, MS..

Visitation was held on Thursday, January 2nd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Hulett-Winstead Funeral Home (205 Bay St, Hattiesburg, MS 39401). A graveside service was held on Thursday, January 2nd 2025 at 11:00 AM and at 11:30 AM at the Highland Cemetery (3401 W 7th St, Hattiesburg, MS 39401).
