She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Lee and Ruby Dale Cooper Compere; and her husband Daniel Edward Stewart. She is survived by: her children, Pam Smith, Robin Davis (Tom), Marcia May (Mike), Dan Stewart (Marcia), Cindy Smith (Rodney) and Wanda Sanford (Pat); her siblings, Bob Compere (Patty), Art Compere (Doris), Ruby Jackson, Jackie Green (James), Alma Jo Kennedy and Reuben Compere; and her grandsons, Nathan Anderson, Stewart Davis, Daniel May, Greg May, Christopher Stewart, Robert Stewart, Matthew Waddle, William Sanford and Jonathan Sanford. She is also survived by 21 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Briar Hill Baptist Church.
