He is survived by: his sibling D'Olive Durant; his wife Vickie Durant of Hattiesburg; his children, John Allen Durant (Kaitlyn) of Waco, TX and Anna Merritt Shippen (Bill) of Atlanta, GA; his grandchildren, Mae Shippen and Joseph Shippen; and his brothers, John Durant (Sherry) of Mobile, AL and Hiram Durant (Carolyn) of Mobile, AL. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
