He was predeceased by : his parents, Fred Herndon and Doris Herndon. He is survived by : his wife Becky Herndon; his daughters, Shelby Graves (Jon) and Ashley Herndon; his granddaughter Delaney Graves; his siblings, Mike Herndon (Donna), Scott Herndon (Ginger) and Suzanne Yates; and his nephew Logan Yates. He is also survived by three great nieces and four great nephews.

A celebration of life was held on Sunday, June 30th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Hattiesburg Elks Lodge (212 Elks Lodge Rd, Hattiesburg, MS 39401).

Greg was preceded in death by his parents Fred and Doris Herndon Greg's wishes were to be cremated, in Lieu of flowers or plants, Greg wanted any donations to be put into an account for his grandchildren's future education.
