He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Walters and Deree Walters; his parents-in-law, Eugene and Venetia Polk; and his brothers-in-law, William Giles, Jimmy Polk, Floyd Polk and Roger Polk.
He is survived by: his wife Betty Walters of Hattiesburg; his daughter Sheri Walters Tilghman (Donnie) of Hendersonville, TN; his grandchildren, Tori Salinas (Andrew) of Hendersonville, TN and Logan Tilghman of Hendersonville, TN; his great grandchildren, Naveyah, Natalia, Adalynne and Adrianna; his sister Nola Faye Giles of Arkansas; and his siblings-in-law, Dorothy Toler and Kelly Polk. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
