With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Elsie Read (Hattiesburg, Mississippi), born in McComb, Mississippi, who passed away on April 24, 2020 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her daughter Lisa Marie (John); her parents, Kate Roberts Thompson and Lee Thompson; and her sisters, Clara T. Jarvis, Edna T. Cook, Stella T. Stewart and Matilda T. Cumbee.
She is survived by: her friends, JoAnn Boyd of McComb and Pam Powers of Richton. She is also survived by her nieces and nephews, a multitude of friends.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial may be sent to Asbury UMC, Petal, MS or Blair Batson Children's Hospital, Jackson, MS.
