He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Lee Travis and Annie Lou McCoy; his brothers, Anthony McCoy and Sammy McCoy; and his brother-in-law Anthony Griffin (Shemeki).
He is survived by: his wife Brenda Marie McCoy; his sons, Corey Tyrone Griffin, Edward Lee McCoy Jr. McCoy (Amanda) and Ervin McCoy (Adionne); his great grandchildren, Edward Lee McCoy III, Aiden McCoy, Ava McCoy, Naia Winfrey, Taizan Burden, Hunter McCoy, Ethan McCoy, Zion McCoy and Paytan McCoy; and his siblings, Julia Cornwell (Jimmy), Eddie Jean Gillispie (Jessie) and Eddie Wayme McCoy Sr..
