It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Earnest Hatten (Hattiesburg, Mississippi), who passed away on September 24, 2022, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Andrew Hatten and Carrie Bell Hatten; and his siblings, Y. W. "Jack" Hatten, Bernice Hatten and Oralean Boykins.
He is survived by: his wife Curley Craft Hatten; his children, Earnestine Toy (Davie), Tammy Hatten, Delois Martin (Larry), Doris "Bunchie" Jones, Patricia "Googie" Jones, Gabriel Hatten (Linda), Gregory Hatten (Shun), Blake Hatten, Dominique and Dominick Hatten; and his sister Dora Harris. He is also survived by 27 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren, 5 great-great grandchildren; and host of nieces, nephew, and friends.
