We are sad to announce that on October 21, 2023, at the age of 84, Dorothy Rae Breland of Hattiesburg, Mississippi passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Dorothy Rae Breland to pay them a last tribute.

She was predeceased by: her husband Jack Wyndol Breland; her parents, James Manley and Ellen Naomi Hill Hubbard; and her grandson Jack Henry Breland. She is survived by: her daughter Lee Ann B.; her son-in-law Dr John W. Starr, Jr.; her son Gregory J.; her daughter-in-law Rhonda M. Breland; her granddaughters, Casey Jo Breland Green (Joshua Allen), Caroline Breland Starr and Georgia Grace Starr; her great grandchild Jack Breland Green; and her sister-in-law Vencil S. Hubbard. She is also survived by nieces, great nieces, nephews, great-nephews and cousins.

“To Dots family. Even tho I don’t know her family I want you all to know that Dot was my moms best friend at the Claiborne. They were convinced they were cousins and were inseparable. When I lost my mom in a court battle, Dot took me to the courtyard and prayed the sweetest prayer. I loved Dot and she will always hold a special place in my heart.
