She was predeceased by: her parents, Jessie Lee Blakney and Ernest Blanks; her husband Henry Pettiegrew; her children, Lonnie Pettiegrew, Robert Sneed (Michelle) and Shoana Pettiegrew; her siblings, Ernestine Sneed, Jessie Marie Thigpin and Grady Edwards Jr.; her children, Dorothy Renee McGee, Henry Pettiegrew Jr., Gregory Mitchel Pettiegrew (Alice), Beverly D. Wallace (Norman), Jessica Mckinest (Victor), Jamarcus Pettiegrew and Ieshlia Terrell (Cory); and her goddaughter Sonia Barlow.
She is survived by: her siblings, Alvin Tyrone Blakney, Tony Edwards (Pam), Linda McGill (Willie), Willie Earl Edwards, Donald Ray Edwards, Robert "Lolly" Edwards, Anne "Tootsie" Woods (Henry) and George Edwards (Sherrie). She is also survived by great-nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 30th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Ephesus Seventh-Day Adventist Church (500 William Carey Pkwy, Hattiesburg, MS 39401). A funeral service will be held on Friday, January 31st 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Friday, January 31st 2025 at the Highland Cemetery (3401 W 7th St, Hattiesburg, MS 39401).
